Six Shades of  Silk Perlee (or Silk Pearl). A non separable silk perle thread on a delightful wooden reels. Au Ver A Soie, Soie Perlee is a twisted 3 ply  silk. This thread glides smoothly through fabric - an absolute joy to stitch with. Suitable for all forms of hand embroidery.  
Unlike perle cotton, Soie Perlee expands to fill the area when using a light tension. If one had to compare, the closest comparison in perle cotton would be between the thickness of a Perle size 8 and a Perle size 12.
