Stretch Needles are designed for two way stretch knits such as Lycra and fabrics with spandex. It is also a good needle choice when sewing elastic. The needle has a specially designed scarf which helps prevent skipped stitches.
These needles have a round front and a flat back. So if your sewing machine needle is like this it should work.
